Masala Puri-Chaat

Our local Chaatwala serves these yummy dry Masala puris without any sauce or chutney. A Pani puri of sorts without the pani (water) :). These are great party starters or snacks; less time consuming and use very simple ingredients.

Masala Puri recipe: for 6 puris

Ingredients
  • 6 Pani puri-puris
  • 2 Potatoes small boiled mashed
  • 2 small Onionschopped
  • 2 Tomatoes small red chopped
  • Chaat masala
  • chilly Red powder
For the garnish (optional)
  • coriander leaves Chopped
  • Sev Nylon
Servings:
Instructions
  1. Mix salt and chaat masala with the mashed potatoes as per your taste.
  2. Make a small hole on one side in each puri.
  3. Add a little potato mixture to each puri.
  4. Top them with the chopped onion and tomatoes.
  5. Sprinkle little Chaat masala and red chilly powder.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves and Nylon sev.
Recipe Notes

Note: You can also add Green Mung beans to the Potato mixture.
